Acting Stand-Up Comedy Writing

Conor Kellicutt has been an entertainer since the age of three. Starting at the Palms Playhouse in Davis, Ca., Conor never did a school play. Usually the only child in any given production, he grew up quickly.

At age 11 his mother took him to see Al Pacino in ‘American Buffalo’ in San Francisco. Conor watched the crowed go nuts as Mr. Pacino stepped on stage, but was shocked to find that Al Pacino in fact did not exist. Instead there was this angry obnoxious man named Teach walking around in Al Pacino’s body. This changed Conor’s idea of acting forever. Al Pacino not only had to convince two thousand people that he was Teach, but also make them believe there was no such person as Al Pacino world famous actor and movie star. And he did it.

Moving into professional theater in high school at the Sacramento Theater Co., Conor spent his formative years doing commercials and industrial films. At 17 he moved to LA to become the next Al Pacino, or Teach. Conor quickly realized that he needed more than a good resume and a pretty face to make it. After a couple of years of humiliation he moved to San Francisco to try something he had wanted to do for a while, wait tables. While waiting tables he did stand up comedy, making a name for himself at the Holy City Zoo, The Punchline, Cobb’s and other clubs in the area. Conor also branched out into the proffesional writing world. With sketches, shorts, and books he could finally stop waiting tables (despite his love for it).

After ten years of commercials, comedy and films, not to mention starting a family with his lovely supportive wife Cindy, Conor has made his way back to LA. Currently the lead in a play about the Punk/Ska/Reggae/Hip-Hop band Sublime, Conor has fulfilled his goals in becoming a well rounded family man/entertainer.
